#1: Prelude

For the next 365 days, I will be posting a blog (hopefully) every night about what happened in my day. It was today that I realized that instead of just blogging whenever I have a good day or bad day, I'll just blog every day and let you decide for yourself how my day was.

Today was an ordinary day. I woke up to my father telling me to, "Wake up, it's 11:00. Is this really how you want to spend your last two days of summer - sleeping?" He and my mom went to the grocery store and I got off of the couch where I had slept just hours prior from a night of watching TV and playing Call of Duty: Black Ops, since it's a Double Experience weekend due to the new DLC map pack called "Rezurrection", featuring five brand new maps for the game's Zombie mode.

All I did until around 2:00 PM was play more Black Ops and Zynga Texas Hold 'Em on Facebook, which is possibly the most unrewarding Poker game I've ever played. I'll tell you right now that I'm a big fan of Poker - I don't play in casinos or anything, yet, because for one I'm only 16, and even if I wanted to, there really aren't any that I know of in my city.

Later in the afternoon my dad and I built a Gundam model called Beargguy, who is probably my favorite Gundam at the moment. He's actually a Gunpla figurine, which is what the characters in the Gundam Anime build for fun. It's confusing, I know, because it's like a paradox. We watch the Gundam Anime, and inside the Gundam Anime, the characters are watching a TV show called Gunpla. Anyways, Gundams have recently become a very big hobby of mine. I got my first one on my trip to San Francisco during the March Break, and ever since then I've been hooked. When I was in Montreal last week, I bought a few new Gundams (Beargguy included), plus a specialized Gundam marker and some professional-grade glue (specifically for an old-style Gundam that I bought while I was there).

After building that, I tidied up my room a bit, until I stumbled upon The Sims 3, which reminded me that I had to install that on my brand new computer, but then I remembered that it is in repair for the second time due to another problem, likely with the power-supply. Computers are a big part of my life as well, along with video games, and they're something that I play around with a lot and have a lot of them.

I was writing a post on my other blog today, and I was searching something about the Call of Duty XP Finals (of which Team OpTic won 1st in), and discovered THIS ARTICLE. That kind of ticks me off because I recently bought the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, because I thought that a new one wouldn't come out for a while. There aren't all that many new features in the new keyboard, besides that it's practically silent and registers up to six key-presses at once or something.

Then I watched a bit of TV with my parents, read a bit of my Driver's Handbook (I'm studying for my G1), and now here I am. I know this first blog was probably a bit dull and confusing, since you don't really know anything about me yet, but please give it some time as there will definitely be some more interesting days (although today was quite interesting).

Adios,

- I
